Experience
I have been a practicing psychotherapist for forty years and in full-time private practice for the past twenty-five years. In my practice, I work with children, adolescents, individual adults, and couples. Prior to entering full-time private practice, I was on the staff of the McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA. I also taught for twelve years as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Simmons College School of Social Work.

My Professional Background and Training
I have experience and expertise in psychodynamic, relational, family systems, play therapy, mind-body stress reduction, and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy. My own clinical style is eclectic, borrowing from all of these schools of thought depending on the problems experienced by any particular person. My work with patients is also informed by recent research in the areas of developmental psychology and neuroscience.
